It was getting late. The weight of my eyelids were unbearable. If I did not lay down, I would surely fall. Just as I was closing out and leaving the computer, there it was. Staring me right in the face. I became infuriated. I looked like a mad woman and I knew Dave Matthews Band was not going to fix this one. What’s more, I could do nothing to recover this atrocity. Oh, the ignorance of the average “Christian.”
President Obama had just been re-elected. To be completely honest, I wish I was more into politics than I am, but one can only be so cool and I am pretty sure I have maxed at my level. I caught this disgusting rant while I scanned the beloved newsfeed of my facebook account. The more I read the more I grew in anger with the statuses. “Obama is president again. It is now the end times. God forbid we have a democrat in office… again. They kill babies and let gays marry, after all.”
For starters, the end times was marked at the pouring out of Pentecost. So, yes, we are in the end times, but we have been there for thousands of years. Secondly, bashing your leaders on social network is not very Godly of you. You are a cowardly tool hiding behind your computer because it is easier to let all your “non-Christian” friends know just how sinful they are living without the confrontation. Lastly, you just look plain stupid.
I am literally confused by Christians. How can one be so passionate about something they do not actually take time to learn? It makes no sense. Here is a helpful hint that just might be useful:
DO NOT PREACH TO PEOPLE WHEN YOU ARE JUST AS UNCOUTH AS THE NEXT GUY AND DO NOT EXPECT NON-CHRISTIANS TO LIVE AND ACT LIKE CHRISTIANS!
It really is an easy concept. Honestly, I do not even think that Christians are unaware of this; they just do not care. How selfish are we? I am not trying to point a finger, but I am trying to put out an understanding, if you want to discuss theology or doctrine with a non-believer, do us all a favor and study up. I am tired of looking like an idiot when I mention I believe in God because other believers are rude, selfish and awkward. I applaud you on your efforts. Actually I don’t because your efforts suck, but I will praise your passion.
One more thing: Tip your servers, you bloody tight wads.
